The Grove is for the artist who craves a stronger spiritual foundation for their creative practice. A 6-month container of creative devotion where you can find magical rituals and spiritual tools to support your creative practice, alongside accountability in community. Bring a project to life. Heal your relationship to inspiration.

What is The Grove?

If you've been burned out.

If you haven't been able to find the time in your own calendar, and are craving community support and accountability.

If you are curious about introducing more spirituality into your creative work, but aren't sure where to start.

If you do better as an artist when you're doing a program.

If you are looking for a long-term space in which to build supportive routines and condition your creative muscles.

Then this is for you: a long-term container in which to dedicate yourself to the spiritual practices that support your creative work. You'll be held by us, by the other participants, by your commitment to doing this for six months.

We are going to spend half a year together, with our activities, conversations, and rituals organized around a grove-tending theme:

  • September 2025/Month 1: Harvest / Distribution & Assessment

  • October 2025/Month 2: Farmer’s Market / Comparison & Competition

  • November 2025/Month 3: Rot & Compost

  • December 2025/Month 4: Communal Exchange & Holiday

  • January 2026/Month 5: The Dark Midwinter

  • February 2026/Month 6: Slow Waking

What's in The Grove?

(aka, what you get)

Every month is organized around a different theme. Within that theme, we will have check-ins that you can opt into every week:

  • A live beginning-of-month intention setting & guided meditation

  • One live, mid-month check-in call for conversation & coming back to center

  • One recorded lecture/workshop per month, which may also include suggested spells or tarot spreads, to be explored on your own time, at your own leisure

  • A private Discord community/server, moderated by us, open 24/7

Marika, on her experience in the grove

When The Grove was first announced, it felt to me like a lifeline. I joined with the intention of creating new art for a show I wanted to have this year.

I had to set my work aside several months before when my dad’s cancer diagnosis changed, and I didn’t have the capacity to focus on this project I so badly wanted to bring to life.

Having a space like The Grove to help me stay focused and grounded in creativity and spiritual connection sounded like just what I needed to be able to get back to my art. What I didn’t know, was that participating in this community would send me on a side quest away from what I thought I needed to be doing.

Through the conversations during monthly kickoff calls and within the Discord community, I realized that I had some other work to do before I could get back to my art. I leaned into grief work through tarot (thanks to Meg's amazing spreads), and dug deeper into my chart (thanks to Jeanna's brilliant astrology conversations). I started to learn watercolor for the joy of it. And I shared what I was exploring through all of it within the community.

My dad died a couple months into The Grove, and I know without a doubt that being in this community helped me stay connected to my heart and hope during a very difficult time. And I also know that because I went on that side quest, I was able to begin to build a solid connection to my spiritual and creative practices that do not have to be tied to “work.”

I was eventually able to make new art for a show because I had built up practices that supported me in making the art my heart needed. So grateful to this community for supporting this creative wildling through these past months!

Who The Grove is For

For anyone who wants to bring more explicit, intentional spiritual and magical practices into their creative practice.

For artists* who want to get more witchy

Maybe you believe in the magical while living in the mundane, but haven't been sure of where to start — or of how to connect it to your creative work. We can help. (*and please know that "artist" doesn't mean you're full-time with your art! if you do art, you are an artist!)

For those who are serious about their craft

Whatever your medium, goals, or dreams, your commitment is enough. You don’t have to be a working artist or a creative professional to join The Grove.

For creatives craving spiritual community

Maybe you have other artist/photographer/writer friends, but maybe they don't get this part of you — the part that craves ritual, that wants to connect with the other-than-human and divine.

FAQ

What if I can't come to every single live thing, or I don't like using Discord?

Missing a few events is normal — life is busy! However, The Grove is oriented around community co-creation, connecting with other people, and sharing insights along the way. You'll get the most out of The Grove if you can attend most of the live calls and participate with some consistency in our community Discord server. You can find the schedule for live events in the next section of this page, and participants will receive an invitation to the Discord about a week before the Opening Happy Hour.

With all of that being said, the monthly kick-offs and mid-month convos are always recorded, and the monthly pre-recorded conversation between Meg and Jeanna is dropped asynchronously for everyone to listen at their leisure. Plus, the Discord community is there 24/7 for folks to check in with each other and connect over their creative work throughout the container — and there will be spaces where you can schedule body doubling and co-working with other participants on your own time.

This looks so cool, but I can't afford it. Will you be offering scholarships?

We plan to open up one scholarship slot for every [certain number we aren't sharing publicly, thanks for understanding!] of regular sign-ups.

We do optimistically want to have at least a few openings available for financially stressed folks, but we also do want to gently remind folks that this is our livelihood and needs to meet our own financial needs before we can give as generously as we'd like.

I'd love to sponsor a spot for a [financially underprivileged / LGBTQIA+ / BIPOC] person. Can I do that?

YES! Email jeannakadlecauthor [at] gmail [dot] com to discuss details.

How will I access the recordings?

There will be a shared Google Drive folder emailed to everyone and pinned in the Discord.

Okay, i'm in. what now?
